This is an external paranormal investigation which takes place within the grounds of Bangour village hospital. This place is a former asylum, built a hundred years ago, but was not a hospital in the traditional sense - it was a self-contained village, with power house, shop, church, nurse accommodation, activity block, main hospital building, and a number of substantial residential villas, set out in a clearing on a wooded hillside near Bathgate The village concept, and the level of psychiatric care, was leading edge for its time.
It’s alleged that eastern European gypsies placed a curse within the grounds when the government of the day retained one of their children; it’s never been determined what the curse entailed. It’s believed that the many reported paranormal experiences are linked to this curse. Villa 9 has a catalogue of reports of paranormal activity and many personal experiences walking in the village have been reported.’ Shape shifters' and black dogs have been spotted by spooked dog walkers. Not for the faint hearted!
