This is an external paranormal investigation which takes place within the grounds of Bangour village hospital. This place is a former asylum, built a hundred years ago, but was not a hospital in the traditional sense - it was a self-contained village, with power house, shop, church, nurse accommodation, activity block, main hospital building, and a number of substantial residential villas, set out in a clearing on a wooded hillside near Bathgate The village concept, and the level of psychiatric care, was leading edge for its time. |
| It’s alleged that eastern European gypsies placed a curse within the grounds when the government of the day retained one of their children; it’s never been determined what the curse entailed. It’s believed that the many reported paranormal experiences are linked to this curse. Villa 9 has a catalogue of reports of paranormal activity and many personal experiences walking in the village have been reported.’ Shape shifters' and black dogs have been spotted by spooked dog walkers.
